Yin/Restorative Therapy - Private and Semi Private

"Although, yin and restorative practices are sometimes referred to as the same or similar, they have distinct differences. Yin yoga works on tight and contracting connective tissues such as ligaments, tendons and the myofascia. Each pose is held for several minutes at a time to help let go of the muscles’ efforts and to “exercise” the connectives tissues the way they need to be exercised, which is very passive. Restorative yoga is the practice where your body is fully supported by props so that you can find ultimate relaxation–here we are not working on anything other than passively opening different parts of the body. You can say that restorative yoga is more “yin” than yin yoga."

Doula

"The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves" and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier and they breastfeed more easily."

Shamanic Thai Bodywork

"The experience of receiving:  Incorporating the energies of Ha-Tha, sun and moon, Thai bodywork is simultaneously energizing and relaxing.  The practitioner guides the client through a series of yoga postures on the floor, while palming the body’s sen (energy) lines and pressure points.   Palming, muscle compression, joint integration, shaking, stretching, energy work and guided breath is used inside of each session.  Together, these actions culminate in a comprehensive treatment that harmonizes mind, body and heart, relieves muscle tension, improves circulation, lifts the immune system and balances the energetic body.
